What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device during your visit. They are used to remember preferences, maintain a logged-in session, collect usage statistics, and in some cases for advertising purposes. We at InstaSpin use cookies to keep the site functional and to understand anonymously how visitors interact with it, so we can improve what is not working well. Technically, cookies are stored either as session cookies or persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually. Depending on their origin, we distinguish between first-party cookies placed directly by instaspin.live and third-party cookies from external services. Both types are fully disclosed in this policy.
In addition to cookies, some websites use similar techniques such as web beacons, pixel tags, and local browser storage. For simplicity, in this policy we refer to all these techniques collectively as cookies. These techniques fulfil the same functions as cookies and are subject to the same consent requirements under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR. Which cookies we place
We distinguish four categories. Necessary cookies are required for basic functionality. These include session cookies for login, a cookie that remembers your cookie preference, and security cookies that prevent misuse. These cookies cannot be disabled without the site ceasing to function. They are not subject to consent requirements under applicable law and process only the data strictly necessary for the site to operate. They do not enable cross-site tracking or the creation of user profiles. Their storage period is limited to the duration of your session or a maximum of one year.
Functional cookies remember preferences such as your language choice, your selected region, and the display of certain elements. Analytical cookies collect anonymised data about how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and where people drop off. We use Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly configuration where IP addresses are truncated and no personal profiles are built. The statistics collected help us make informed decisions about site design — for example which content is most popular or where visitors encounter obstacles. The data gathered is not linked to your account data or other personal information and is accessible only in aggregated form.
Marketing cookies are only placed after explicit consent. They enable advertising networks such as Google Ads and Meta to show advertisements that match your interests. You can fully disable this category via the cookie settings, doing so per category without making the site unusable. If you accept these cookies, advertisers may measure conversions and run retargeting campaigns — that is, serve advertisements to users who have previously visited our site. You can revoke your consent for marketing cookies at any time through the Cookie Settings link; the revocation takes effect immediately and newly set marketing cookies will be removed.

Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by external parties we use to improve our services. The most important are Google Analytics for anonymised usage statistics, and potentially Google Ads and Meta for remarketing. These parties have their own privacy policies, which you are subject to once you accept their cookies. Additional third parties that may set cookies as part of our services include payment providers such as Trustly and MiFinity, which use their own security cookies for transactions, and live-chat service providers. We do not use social media platform cookies by default. If you use a share button, that may place a cookie from the relevant platform. Embedded videos from YouTube or Vimeo also place cookies; therefore we only load these after explicit consent in a privacy-friendly mode. We generally recommend reading the privacy policies of individual third parties, particularly Google and Meta, as they have their own policies on cross-border data processing. You can manage your consent for specific third-party cookies through our Cookie Settings on a granular basis without disabling an entire category. This fine-grained control is a deliberate design choice by InstaSpin to give you maximum autonomy.
How to manage cookies
On your first visit to the site, a cookie banner appears where you choose per category what you accept. You can change your preference at any time via the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of the site. In addition, all modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via browser settings. Please note that disabling necessary cookies may mean you can no longer log in or that the site displays errors. On mobile devices you can find cookie settings in the browser menu under Privacy or via the page settings icon. Clearing cookies resets all stored preferences, so the cookie banner will reappear on your next visit. Browser extensions such as Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin can additionally block cookies, though this may affect site functionality.
What if I do not want cookies
You are free to decline all non-necessary cookies. The site will continue to work; you can still browse, register, and play. The experience may be slightly less smooth in some areas, as we cannot remember preferences and adverts on other sites may become less relevant. We respect your choice and place only the necessary category after a rejection. You can also decline specific categories through our Cookie Settings menu rather than rejecting all non-necessary cookies at once. For example, you might accept analytical cookies while declining marketing cookies; we will fully respect that differentiated choice. Any change to your settings takes effect immediately. We store your cookie preference itself as a necessary cookie so you are not prompted on every visit.

This cookie policy is updated periodically. The current version is dated 8 May 2026. For significant changes, we will display the cookie banner again so you can review your preference. What a cookie technically does
A cookie is a tiny text file the website asks your browser to keep. It contains no code and cannot execute anything. It can only store a value, for example a session identifier, that our server uses to recognise you within a visit. Without that mechanism you would have to choose your language or confirm your age again on every page.
Alongside cookies sit related techniques such as local storage, session storage and tracking pixels. Functionally they do similar work. Our policy covers them together because the European ePrivacy framework focuses on purpose rather than the specific implementation. Cookies cannot reach your hard drive, read passwords or install files; their risk lies in profiling and advertising, not in classical malware.
The cookies we set
Functional cookies keep the site working. They remember your language choice, your age confirmation and your consent decisions. They are placed without prior consent because the site would otherwise not provide its basic service. The number of files is small, their lifespan short and no data is shared with third parties as part of that core operation.
Analytics cookies measure anonymised usage. We see which articles are read, the average time on a page and the country of origin. We do not see names or precise locations. Advertising cookies are not actively placed by us, but operators reached through an outbound link may set their own. From that point our control ends and the partner's own policy applies.
Changing your mind
Consent is never final. A link at the foot of every page reopens the consent panel. You can accept or refuse by category, overwrite earlier choices and inspect a log of when each decision was made. We keep that log strictly to demonstrate compliance with European rules. It is never used to build a marketing profile or to share data with advertising networks.
